The purpose is to enable larger cargo vessels to operate the route at M\u00e4laren. The options are a new bridge in new stretch or a rebuild of the existing bridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wheel bridge on road 55 crosses M\u00e4larleden at Hjulstaviken via M\u00e4rs\u00f6n and is an important passage over Lake M\u00e4laren. The bridge was built in 1953 and is in need of upgrading, especially with regard to the moving parts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Plans have previously been on a refurbishment of Wheel Station and are now being updated to enable larger vessels to operate M\u00e4larleden.
